An Examination of Nazi Germany essays The Nazis had many domestic policies which had very many effects on the typical German way of life. In simple terms, what the question above asks is two things: one, what the Nazis desired to achieve in Germany, and two, whether or not they were successful. During the period from the rise of Hitler to the fall of his proposed empire, the Nazi policies can be placed under a single ideal, the revival of the sense of community. These 'volkgesmeinschaft' oriented policies were adopted by the Nazis in order to instill the traditional Germanic ideals of the previous Reich's into the new generation of German people, purify the German race and, through the use of the Jewish peoples, gypsies, homosexuals and other groups as scapegoats, solve the crisis' which Germany faced, creating a more unified Germany and a country and empire which, according to Hitler, "would last one thousand years". In addition to this, the Nazis also desired Germany to become an authoritarian government under Hitler. These policies are all very easily said, but the Nazis had vast problems and obstacles which they faced in order for these plans to be achieved. After they took power, certain individual policies were created and enforced, which attempted to achieve the ideals listed above. First of all, the Nazis had policies towards the practice of religion, in order to preserve the ideals of the traditional folk Germanic community. The Nazis desired to control the church as well as the state and they signed the concordat with Pope Pious II. The Nazis reasoned with the story of Christ, who was related to the Germans. This was their justification for placing the symbol of Christ, the cross, next to the symbol of Nazism, the swastika, in churches across the entire of Germany. The people responsible for carrying such massacres often gathered Jewish people and others into ghettos. The purpose of this discussion is to examine the Warsaw Ghetto, which is one the most studied of the Ghettos established by Germany. The discussion will also focus on the Warsaw uprising. The Warsaw Ghetto was located in Warsaw, Poland. Prior to the war an estimated 30% of the population in Warsaw was Jewish (Warsaw, 2008). It had the highest Jewish population outside of New York City (Warsaw, 2008). It was vibrant and the center of commerce prior to the war. According to the United States Holocaust Museum, Germany invaded Poland on the 1st of September, 1939 and the German army came into Warsaw on September 29, 1939. Under German occupation a Jewish Council was created with the expressed intent of developing a Ghetto in Warsaw. As a way to subjugate Jews living in Warsaw Jewish Children could no longer for to school, men were made into slaves, the personal property of the Jewish people of Warsaw was stolen (Warsaw, 2008). In addition the Jewish people of Warsaw had to identify themselves at all time by wearing a Star of David armband (Warsaw, 2008). All of these events occurred prior to the establishment of the Warsaw Ghetto. The Jews of Warsaw were stripped of everything they had and all they worked hard to achieve in Warsaw (Warsaw, 2008). The parents also believed that Halo would be well looked after by his relatives in Germany. China is overpopulated, and the same applies to its graduates making it hard for a graduate to safeguard a job. Halio has the beliefs that the universities in German are difficult to graduate as they offer quality-oriented education, unlike the Chinese universities which offer examination-oriented education. Studying in the Germany universities means studying a foreign language and this calls for more effort in studying. The choice of Germany is a compromise between Helio's parent’s ideas and decisions and those of Halio. Chinese students in German lead a normal life though they have their won a share of challenges. Halio talks of how he regretted his parent’s decision initially due to financial constraints but later came to enjoy it all lot after he got employed and earned his own cash.  Halio has experienced boredom, financial constraints and a lot of pressure which contrasts the situation in China where has was close to his friends and family. He was at the time very fresh in Germany and did not know what to do. The language was also an issue for him as he had to learn a new language. He tells this story as an illustration that his initial adaptation in Germany was not that smooth. The language was quite a problem to him in that he was afraid of talking to people.
